Our websites are created to perform as quickly and reliably as possible. Built specifically with your Council in mind, a website from reCoded Solutions will provide you with all of the features you’ll need to manage and post your Council activities and documents.

A Council website from reCoded Solutions is based on the WordPress platform, but in addition to this, the RS Council software has been developed specifically for Council websites. This software has been developed by reCoded Solutions in-house in order to provide your Council with an efficient and easy-to-use website.
The RS Council software also provides a multitude of layout options to display your Council information on your website, whilst giving you the ability to login and easily manage the information displayed on your Council site from an easy-to-use interface.
Features can be toggled on or off depending on which your Council need to use, and it also automates functions for you that otherwise would have to be done manually on other Council sites. For example, there is a Calendar feature that displays a claendar of all of the Council Meetings, Tender deadlines, Events & more, without any additional work to be done by you.
| Features | Details | |
|---|---|---|
| Annual Meeting Management | Manage Annual Parish/Town Meetings with the option to explain what an Annual Meeting is and how it differs from regular Council Meetings. This feature also provides a list of all historic Minutes. | |
| Calendar | The Council Calendar automatically displays selected items such as Meetings, Consultation and Tender end dates, Mayoral Engagements etc. The Calendar is populated automatically from the items that are added from each section, so there is no additional work required to update the Calendar. | |
| Consultations | Consultations can be added to your website that will allow engagement with your residents and get feedback about specific points of interest for your Council. These have an end date set and will automatically close and cease taking feedback after the end date/time. | |
| External Contacts | This feature allows for Contact details to be added for people outside of the Council, such as local Borough/County Councillors, the Local MP, or any other specific contact information that you wish to provide for anyone outside of the immediate Council organisation. | |
| Job Vacancies | Job Vacancies can be listed with set end dates which automatically prevent submissions after the vacancy has closed. | |
| Mayoral History | If you have a Mayor, their details can be added to the Mayor Listing and these details are displayed for historic reference. Both the Mayor and Deputy Mayor details can be added, and also the Mayoral Year they served. | |
| Mayoral Engagements | Engagements for the Mayor can be recorded and provide a history of each Mayor’s activities during their service as Mayor. | |
| Meetings | One of the most comprehensive and regularly updated features will be Meeting Management. This feature allows for free-form details to be added, all documents for the meeting can be added (Agenda, Minutes, Additional Documents/Appendices). The details of the meeting (Venue, Date, Time etc) are also recorded and displayed on your website. | |
| Members | Council Members (Councillors) are added to this feature in order to provide details to contact each Councillor, and also their Policitical Party, Committee Membership and Ward that they represent. | |
| Officers | Officers can be listed on the website in order to provide contact details that can assist residents in getting administratirve and clerical tasks to be performed, and also to enquire about various Council activities that may be of interest. | |
| Policy Documents | A full list of Policy Documents can be listed on your website, with details of when the document was adopted and last reviewed. The document will also be available to download for anyone who wishes to read it from this page. | |
| Press Releases | Press Releases can be published in the form of website articles that can be written or simply copied/pasted from an original document. There is a full list of all historic Press Releases for record. | |
| Publications | Publications are available for items like Newsletters and specific local publications. These documents are avaailable to download, and can be assigned an issue number and the date of publication. This is used as an alternative to save priting costs for Councils who distribute | |
| Services | This feature is used to list and promote Council services and also local attractions and points of interest. These can be physical locations, membership services or public services that are either controlled by your Council, or that promote the Parish or Town. | |
| Surgeries | Surgeries are used to list regular or scheduled Councillor Surgeries for residents to attend and speak to their local Councillor. | |
| Tenders | When your Council requires to run the Tendering process for outsourcing and acquiring services, this feature will allow you to list active Tenders and engage with potential suppliers in order for submissions to be made to fulfill the requirements. There is the ability for anonymous tenders to be submitted, if your Council operates this procedure. | |
| Transparency | Documents can be added into sub-cateogries of Transparency that allow you to publish documents that you are required to publish, but that don’t have a specific feature within the website. For example, AGAR documents, Financial Notices and Reports, Asset Management and Risk Assessments can all be uploaded to this feature to properly organise and publish these documents. | |
| Venues | This feature allows you to add Venue listings to your site in order for them to be used in Meeting listings, Event listings and more. Although this feature isn’t normally something you would publish to your live website, it is useful to allow you to add and update venue-specific listings such as Meetings, Events, Surgeries, Mayoral Engagements etc. Rather than entering the Venue details multiple times when you are listing these items, you can simply select from the list of Venues and the information on the location will be added for you, saving you having to repeat data entry. | |
