As well as registering your Domain Name, it is also necessary to manage the domain in order to allow your other services to use the domain. The NCSC is the UK’s technical authority for cyber threats and is part of the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ).
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed certification providing added reassurance to you that your services are being kept secure and that precesses are in place to promote best-practice. The Cyber Essentials accreditation proves the standard has been met for security within the IT infrastructure of reCoded Solutions.
Your GOV.UK domain will also be actively monitored by the Domains Team, which is part of the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (DSIT), and they will report any security issues they find on your website and/or domain name. If any issues are found, the Domains Team will email the contact on the domain (usually the Clerk and/or reCoded Solutions) and give details and severity of any risks. These risks can then be addressed before they become serious threats to the security of your organisation.
If you host your website with reCoded Solutions, active Malware Scanning is periodically performed on your website files to check for changes to these files. Our hosting platofrm also checks the integrity of the files agaist those that are held in an untouched installation, meaning that if there are any files that have been changed or modified by any unauthorised individual or group, they will be identified and replaced with clean files, preventing malicious code from doing any significant damage to your web services.
There is different eligibility criteria for each of the different domain names in this sector, so it is necessary for us to assess your request before registering your domain name.
